Commands Effects Parameters Formatting Currency
  • Commands and effects are used by typing ! and the command prefix (set by the streamer, the default is "cb"), and then the command name.
Command Description
!cb help shows a help message in chat
!cb commands shows a list of possible commands
!cb prices shows a list of effect prices
!cb effect_name sends an effect based on the name and other parameters
!cb show shows how much currency you currently have
!cb players shows the current list of players
  • Effects use an order based parameter system in order to change the effect.
  • Each effect has a help message if you don't know how to use it. Example: !cb boost help
  • Parameters can include input values, a time based duration, or evens player targets
  • Parameters with a ? at the end are optional, however order must still be preserved
  • Sending effects will use the digital currency based on the effect, number of targets, and the streamers setup
  • Question marks following a parameter mark it as optional. When an effect has optional parameters, there are multiple combinations you can use to change the effect. In the case of the boost effect, both duration and target are the optional parameters. The syntax for the boost effect is as follows:
    • !cb boost duration? target?
  • Therefore, other valid combinations are:
    • !cb boost
    • !cb boost target?
    • !cb boost duration?
  • Chat Bites uses US-English lettering and numbering.
  • Time values are whole integer numbers (1 not 1.0) and if they are not provided default to 1 second. Time values have a limit set by the streamer.
  • Decimals use a period for formatting (ex: 2.0).
  • Currency is earned in Chat Bites through multiple ways. The amounts you earn are based on the streamer's setup. The available ways to earn currency are the following:
    • Bits
    • Subs
    • Channel Points
    • Charity Donation
    • Follows
